Author Coaching
The hardest parts of writing a book is actually finishing. It’s not that you don’t know what you want to write. It’s that the only person you are accountable to is yourself. And that’ just not enough motivation sometimes.
Enter me! I will serve as your Professional Accountability Partner and Pain-free Writing Coach.
I will be an active, non-judgmental accountability partner and cheerleader:
- meeting with you on a regular basis to make sure you are going in a useful, productive direction.
- checking in on you via email on a regular schedule that we decide together to cheer you on, answer any questions, and provide benchmark accountability.
- being available for spontaneous phone conferences as needed to provide affirmation, confirmation and/or motivation.
I will be a eagle-eyed, big picture-focused Writing Coach:
- setting a writing schedule with you and reading the pages you deliver (on time) for overall understanding of the story, characters, and language to make sure you are writing a story that someone will want to read.
- providing feedback, both written and verbal, to help you complete your book manuscript and know that it is readable, saleable, and interesting by your goal date.
We will set goals, benchmarks, and expected interaction points together. You will receive a written schedule that we decided on together. Then in each coaching session, you will have the opportunity to discuss whatever topic is on your mind: discussing the ongoing development of the narrative; asking publishing process questions; workshopping writing skills; troubleshooting writer’s block; etc.
Benefits of Author Coaching:
1-on-1 support to get your book finished
Know that your book is good before you ask anyone else to read it
Be ready to sell your book as soon as it is completed!
