Verve (n.): 1. Enthusiasm or vigor, as in literary or artistic work; spirit. 2. Vivaciousness; liveliness; animation.
Not only should you show enthusiasm in your cover letter but you must also display it in the interview as well. And if you can’t then maybe you shouldn’t apply for the job. Take this as a chance to show your prospective employer how enthusiastic you are for the job. Show genuine eagerness and you should be able to get the position. Wear a bright smile, do your research on the company, and be put on your professional hat even as you vibrate with your verve. Life is too short to spend it at a job you despise so go for the ones you know you’ll enjoy. Get your verve on!
