Natty (adj): Neatly or trimly smart in dress or appearance; spruce.
It is important to take care of your appearance before you go in for a job interview. It is usually those with a natty appearance who get selected.
Business wear is a must. Always do some recon on the company culture before the interview. But even if the culture is casual, your interview isn’t. A business suit or at the very least business attire: Men, slacks, button down shirt, tie and jacket. Women, we have a few more options. Go with a dress, or skirt or plants with a blouse and a jacket.
However you mix and match it, remember conservative. Cover your tats, cover your knees, cover your toes, make it all neat. Make sure your clothing is well-ironed and pressed. If you can’t handle an iron yourself, be sure to dry clean your clothes before you meet with the hiring manager. And, make sure there is no lint on your clothes! If there is, buy a lint roller and go over every inch of it.
Not only will you look right for the job, but you will also get a real confidence boost that will indeed help you ace the interview. You will be glad you did.
