Lexiboost: “Disingenuous” The Great Pretender

By Eileen Ramos

SONY DSCDisingenuous (adj.): 1. Not straightforward or candid; insincere or calculating. 2. Pretending to be unaware or unsophisticated; faux-naif

When interviewing for a job, remember to smile—sincerely. If you don’t want to be there, why did you bother sending your resume in the first place? People can generally tell that you’re faking by the tone of your voice and through your body language. Have an upbeat attitude and bring your passion with you when you enter the interview room. Prove that you’ve done your homework. Show that you care about their products and/or services and be genuinely enthusiastic about the job. No one wants to hire a pretender.
