Lexiboost: “Bromide” Make that resolution today

BromideBy Kate E. Stephenson

Bromide (n.): 3. a platitude or trite saying. 4. a person who is platitudinous and boring.

New Year’s Resolution—what a crock! Never a more offending bromide have I heard. People say they are going to make those resolutions every year and before the breath has left their mouths the dedication to those empty promises is gone. They just don’t happen. We sort of kind of mean it, except we don’t.

Don’t let any part of your business be sucked into the never-gonna-happen realm of the New Year’s Resolution. You are better than that. Making things happen does not depend on an artificial line in the sand created by an imprecise calendar.

Be bold! Make today the day that you put that good foot forward and take the initiative to get yourself on track. Tomorrows are tomorrow. You can’t wait for them. And the new year is still several tomorrows away. Why waste time?

Come into this season with renewed vigor, hope and joy for your business enterprises. And when you’re ready to rebrand, reconnect, rewrite your business for the future, contact me.
