30 Day Life Challenge: June 3, Volunteer

2016 is the Year of “Happy” at Lexicon. We’ve taken on the challenge of helping you find more of your own, bringing you holistic tips and techniques to help you find not only professional success but personal fulfillment. This week we launched a challenge to get that going.

On this third day of the 30 Day Life Challenge…30 day life challenge, what would you do

What would you do, if you couldn’t do what you do?

Today the movie Me Before You comes out. The film is based on the book by the same name. Basic premise is woman takes job caring for wheelchair bound man, they fall in love. As much as we love a romance, that isn’t the point today. Have you ever thought about what you would you do if one of your functions were taken from you? Say if you could no longer walk or talk?

From the other side of that, have you ever taken care of someone who had lost a faculty?

Volunteer Your Time

Sometimes the best way to evaluate what we have is to think about what would happen if it were suddenly gone. Take the time today to volunteer your time at a nursing home, a rehabilitation center, a shelter, a clinic, a rescue center. Talk to people about their lives. Then see how you feel about your own.  You might surprise yourself.

Drop us a line about your experience!
